HIDDEN POWERS ICELAND

Explore the hidden powers in Iceland by visiting the most exotic locations of the world.

Day 1

Welcome to Iceland

Transfer and check-in the hotel (depends on time of arrival). 

Following city walking tour, which is entertaining, informative and useful. You will get to know the most northern capital city in the world with an expert guide at hand. Among the spots we will hit is the top of the famous Hallgrímskirkja, the colourful houses of Þingholt and the City Pond with its birdlife.

Day 2

Golden Circle

Today, we visit three of Iceland’s most famous spots: Þingvellir National Park, Geyser hot springs, and Gullfoss waterfall. We start the day at the ancient Viking Parliament area of Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. The Þingvellir plain is situated on a tectonic-plate boundary where North America and Europe are slowly tearing away from each other. Next stop is at the Geysir geothermal fields with a variety of hot springs and bubbling pools. Gullfoss, “the golden falls”, is a double waterfall that tumbles 34 meters into the Hvítá river originating from the glacier Langjökull. We continue to Skálholt, which is one of Iceland’s most historic and holy places. It was the centre of ecclesiastic power in Iceland for more than 700 years.

Day 3

Snæfellsnes Peninsula day tour

Depart Reykjavik and head to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to experience Iceland's diverse natural beauty in a single area. Take in the dramatic landscape of volcanic peaks, sea cliffs, golden beaches and sparkling fjords.Visit Arnarstapi - a village on the southern side of the peninsula, once a fishing hub and now a place to refuel before entering Snæfellsjökull National Park.

Day 4

Akureyri

DepartReykjavikin the morning and arriveinAkureyri in few hours.It’s easy to be charmed by the “capital” of North Iceland.Check out the thriving restaurant, cafe, and bar scene, walk along the sleepy streets with brightly painted wooden houses, the calm old harbor and see the Akureyrarkirkja church on the hill. Don’t miss to visit the fascinating Akureyri Public Parkand Botanic Garden.

Day 5

Lake Myvatn area

Today we will explore the area surrounding Lake Myvatn. It has the highest concentration of volcanic and geothermal sights in Iceland. In one day you can see pseudocraters, rock formations, lava fields, hike up and around a volcanic crater, see mud pools and steam vents, see a lake in a volcano and hike a lava area from another world. You’ll also make a stop at Dettifoss – Europe’s most powerful waterfall.

OPTIONAL: Experience Whale Watching in Husavik.

Day 6

Akureyri– Reykjavik

Depart from Akureyri and drive back to Reykjavik. The most iconic feature of HúnaflóiBayonon the way is the bizarrely shaped rock formation which rises from the surface of the sea and resembles an elephant drinking.

OPTONAL: In Borgarnesyou can visit of The Settlement Centre that tells the Saga of The Settlement of Iceland and Iceland´s most famous viking and first poet EgillSkallagrimsson. Arrive in Reykjavik and check-in hotel.

Day 7

Reykjanes peninsula and Blue Lagoon

Spend a day exploring the Reykjanes Peninsula, a UNESCO-listed geopark in Iceland’s scenic southwest. You’ll discover Icelandic highlights such as the famous Reykjanes Lighthouse, the Bridge Between Continents, and more. After exploring the lakes and hot springs of the region, you’ll finally relax at the Blue Lagoon where glowing blue waters and steam await. It is one of the most famous hot springs in the world.
